Solidarity appeal

Blood test for possible bone marrow donor.

Susana Ferrão (Coimbra - Portugal) was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) last August. She has since started a fight which we are convinced she will win.

For this to happen, Susana will need a bone marrow transplant from a compatible donor, which is not easy to find.

Giving blood is simple, quick and painless. It also allows for tests that will help find a compatible donor.

Blood can be given at the “Centro de Histocompatibilidade” of the Coimbra University Hospitals (HUC), Portugal, near the main entrance.

To give bone marrow you must be between 18 and 45 years of age, weight more than 50kgs (110 lbs) and not have received a transfusion after 1980.

Susana is a joyful, generous, friendly, smiling person who will win this fight with the help of her family and friends.

Please give blood and re-post/spread this information.
